Sterling loses further ground against the dollar as Bank of England comments continue
to weigh on the UK currency...
The pound gave back further ground against the euro yesterday, despite more bad news out of Greece and Spain as mentioned in the 1st paragraph, due to concerns increasing that the troubles in Europe will have a very large impact on the UK economy. We are currently back below €1.25 against the single currency, with support at €1.2365 which we feel will hold, resistance currently lies at the weekly highs around the €1.26 level. This may well be a period of consolidation before another move higher for the pound in the weeks to come, especially as concerns about Spain grow.
